I can't say much about how this PSU actually works as it never worked properly. I installed everything on my new computer and only the RGB lights came on, the fans didn't spin and there weren't even any messages. After hours of troubleshooting, I finally found out that there are only 23 pins installed on the 24-pin motherboard connector. I decided to return it and chose a completely different power supply to avoid the same problem. Your mileage may vary, but it looks like QC is not suitable for this model.
