Handy pitcher. Very simple and direct. Everyone in my house loves lemon water, so I made a pitcher out of it for everyone to enjoy. The pitcher itself is very easy to use. The core of the brewer, where the fruit (or other stuff) needs to go, easily unscrews, you put in what you want, then screw it back on. When using lemons I was initially concerned that the seeds would ooze out, but they leaked. no The side openings are not wide enough. It's good. While the tea strainer is the highlight of the pot, the lid also has some nice features. First, it has a nice, solid locking lug that keeps it from coming loose. It is not screwed on, just plugged in and unplugged. The lid also has grooves or teeth to prevent ice from falling out when pouring. One tip per application. First fill the pot with water, then fill and insert the teapot. I did the opposite and the fruit juice dripped (disappeared) onto the counter when I tried to fill the pitcher with water.
