Out of the box I plugged it into a power outlet and connected it to my computer then a web page came up and I had to create a password, it brought up a list of WiFi connections and I selected WiFi and entered your password. Then he was ready to go. I was then able to turn it off and place it in the back of the house where I needed a stronger Wi-Fi connection. And now I have a great connection in my backyard so my projector can connect to the internet to play movies. Genius.
