I've heard good things about these gloves. I think they will do the job for kickboxing or boxing. The wrist support is great and the best thing I've liked about the gloves. The gloves are not leather and the glove's response when handling a heavy bag is mild at best. These are not puncher gloves so I understand reviews vary and are excellent for a pair of Cleto Reyes. Sweat protection on the thumb is good but not essential unless you take cardio kickboxing classes or have everyday activities and don't like sweaty face. Buy real leather boxing gloves like Venum pro, Cleto Reyes, Title, RDX gloves for a little extra cost if you want a cheaper but leather and great training glove. I prefer leather gloves with good authentic feedback when hitting the pocket, mittens and sparring. I have about 10 different pairs of gloves (Cleto, Venum, Title, RDX) and the Hayabusa were the most disappointing for the money. They were nothing compared to the other gloves in my rotation. If you have wrist problems or poor striking technique and are prone to wrist injuries I would recommend these gloves for extra wrist support.
