Although this cat tree is very good, it turned out to be too unstable for our Maine Coon. The base is too small and light to avoid falling. Once she fell on my cat, of course she didn't want anything to do with her. It has become an expensive paperweight in the last few months :(. If you have a small cat this will probably suit you. If I were to redesign the scratching post I would increase the base size a few inches at a time and consider increase the weight to reduce the risk of tipping over.
