Does the job but definitely not as reliable as it looks. The "metal" body feels almost plastic. I wanted something stronger than that because sometimes you have to run them in awkward spots and at weird angles. I seriously doubt this thing will last very long. UPDATE 10/23/2014: I used a SATA drive and it works as expected. Today I had to connect an IDE drive and the connector didn't even light up. I had to lean it against my laptop to keep it in place. I know IDE drives are a thing of the past but as a geek I still get old machines and drives that I need to fix. It was disappointing. I think that was the last time I bought this brand.
