These shoes are good for most things but not for serious hiking if you're on the wrong rock. All shoes are slippery on the surface of a fiberglass pool or smooth wet concrete unless they have suction cups. They are really comfortable for trips around the house/yard/store/great bike and cat riding. I wear a size 11 1/2, a size 11 fits perfectly so good luck with that. I would go down for active stuff and up for lying down (By the way, Pacjoy runs a whole size up, see my review). small gripe) The only reason they don't have five stars is because they don't dry quickly, my boat shoes dry just as quickly.
