Review on πŸ₯’ Efficient Farberware Handheld Mandoline Slicer for Fruits and Vegetables, Green by Veronica Jackson

Barely Decent Vegetable Slicer

Farber Pro Vegetable Slicer was ordered for use in my kitchen when chopping vegetables. I've always heard that Farberware makes good kitchenware. I think that's a bit exaggerated with his "Profi" slicer. The kitchen tool has the ability to cut vegetables into slices of different thicknesses. In addition, 3 different types of blades are supplied. Other than that, the blades aren't the sharpest mandolin blades I've seen. With vegetables like tomatoes, getting a tomato slice or mash is a problem. The blade just won't cut through the skin of the tomato. In addition, it is very difficult to get a good slice of potatoes or onions. It works "well" with smaller squashes like yellow or zucchini. However, the blades are sharp enough to cut your finger. Therefore, care should be taken when using this slicer. There is a blade holder that should be used to store blades. It is designed with a "non-slip" bottom to keep it from moving during use. However, this feature didn't impress me much as it was able to move around the workspace with a granite countertop. This model comes with a cutting table made from BPA-free plastic. It's adequate to use, but the plastic feels a little light and cheap. The vegetable chopping container is small and fills up too quickly. It's a bit annoying to have to keep emptying the container because of its size. The food slicer was relatively easy to clean and store. Conclusion: There are better mandoline slicers on the market. This particular model is quite problematic when it comes to slicing vegetables as the blades are not as sharp as they should be. I would not order again.
