Now I have 4 sets of bowls all made of different materials and these are the first to withstand both dishwasher and microwave use. Most people think that any plastic is microwavable, but after reheating and separating the last set I bought, I really needed something that would heat the food, not the bowl. They work great. They're not super thick and stiff. Some of them give them what others call brittle, but they hold their shape and are light in weight. It was a good buy.
