Harrison has played an important role in the health of our birds over the years. We use pellets as the main feed and add fresh feed daily. We've long preferred Harrison's because it doesn't contain any artificial coloring, which makes it much easier for us to monitor feces for discoloration and other changes (unrelated to things like blueberries, for example). Also, since it's a type of pellet, we don't have to worry about our birds choosing the colors/shapes/textures they prefer to others, they can eat the whole shell with ease. Our vets had nothing to say about our parrots during their regular visits, from blood tests to poop stains, and I believe this is largely due to Harrison having a base of fresh victims. We absolutely use it throughout the lives of all our parrots.
