We were struggling with our cat opening up the kitchen cupboards to snoop around or to dig through the garbage can (located in cabinet under the counter). We have picked up some magnetic locks similar to this from the store and they just seemed 'weak". Not a strong pull to them at all. I decided (and crossed my fingers) that I would try these as a last attempt to keep the cat out. (Knowing if they didn't work-I could just return them). We received them quickly, installation was very quick! (unlike the ones that 'click' into each other). I was surprised at how strong the magnetic pull is! I have had them installed for a couple weeks now and I am still loving them!No cat problems any more! WORTH THE MONEY!
