We bought the Space Topper to replace our dog bed because it was so inexpensive and easy to disassemble and clean. Dogs love the bed so much we converted it into a second bed with PVC pipe and corners and 3/4 inch oak legs (long side, PVC bent too much). I will be purchasing another spare mattress topper so we can carry two beds and most likely a medium sized one so my little buddy who stays around me can have his bed in my office. I wish I found them sooner, I've spent so much money on traditional beds that it's unrealistic, I've even made a custom one out of "very durable" material (lasts 8 months). No matter how cheap these tops were, if they were they will last over four to six months (half the time and they look intact) I will be very happy It's been over a year since we bought our beds, our Pitty mix , Vizsla and Pug, which are regular dog beds for 2-4 months, haven't damaged them yet. and are constantly in use. The beds may be free for a few hours, but only one, the other is occupied. Due to current wear and tear I may need to replace one in 2-3 years (I hope the company is still around).
