Great heater with a big flaw

My kennel first. I built a 32" x 47" x 30" house that has 1 1/2" thick foam insulation on the sides, roof and floor. I have a clear plastic dog flap. I have a heater that's hooked up to a Belkin Wemo so it's controlled from my iPhone, and I have a kennel grill temperature transmitter with a receiver in front of my webcam in my house so I can monitor it remotely when I'm not around . the heat shield they have inside, the bottom corner panel doesn't get really hot, the face of the heater, which shouldn't get hot either, is about a quarter cold from bottom to top, and because the built in temperature just tells the unit when to turn it on or off, meaning there are no different heat levels. If it gets really cold outside and the heating is still on, it would be unsafe for dogs to hit them. to cover the top three quarters of the heater, leaving the top and bottom open. It does not restrict the heat at all and ensures that dogs do not burn themselves. After making this change to my kennel it solved my problem perfectly but I think if the house wasn't insulated or had a door it might have little effect. I'm glad I chose this option as opposed to another option I considered, a heat lamp in a paint can that plugs into a temperature outlet to turn the heat lamp on and off as needed. I would give 3.5 if I could but I figured it would ultimately meet my needs. If I didn't have a way to build this wooden sign I would rate it 0 stars because it's useless.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Very expensive
