They really work so you can wash mixed loads or new clothes without worrying about color transfer. Sheets soak up any dye that washes out of your clothes before they can stain other clothes, and the proof of that is when you pull out one at the end of a wash that's all pink or blue. It seemed really wasteful to delete so many small individual downloads to make sure nothing gets spilled, which is why I like that it exists. The only thing I don't like is that they are lightly scented and there is no unscented version. The scent is very mild (I think that's why other reviewers incorrectly say they're fragrance-free), but it's definitely there. I would prefer no fragrance, but that doesn't bother me and I'm quite sensitive to smells. There is also no skin irritation that I get from perfumed detergent. I was initially a little worried about missing one if I put stuff in the dryer, but they don't hurt if they accidentally end up in the dryer with your clothes.
