Works right out of the box

Works right out of the box for me. No special software or anything needed to be installed to make it work. Very nice little adapter. I use it at school where Wi-Fi is often unreliable. It has the added benefit of a built in USB hub, allowing me to connect my other devices and even charge my phone at the same time.
