Perfectly soft, smells musty.
I have the same impression as another reviewer, it smells like a damp musty towel. It softens the beard and works for that very purpose! A few days since I started using this I noticed a musty smell and I thought it was my Diah towels or something that always smelled like mold. Then I realized it was beard oil. I love the oil for its emollient properties, I hate the smell, that's enough, I poured the rest of the bottle because I don't want that smell to surround me all day.
