Review on HELM by Flavio Scarola

Simplicity is key & flexibility should follow

At Helm, we are striving for simplicity of use - no matter how good your system or toolset may be! We believe in transparency so everyone can see what's happening when they're using our software products.Helm lets us make decisions quickly with feedback from users who understand exactly where their applications are deployed and why changes have been made without having to dig deep into details like logging statements or monitoring tools do it alone. Our team could work more collaboratively as well since you don't need access to a command line if needed to edit configuration files and know instantly what has changed. There isn’t really anything I dislike about how much easier Helms makes my job at the moment but maybe there will always come new features which require some training to master them all? Currently though nothing stands out here apart from being able to get things done fast and easy without needing too many steps/knowledge etc. But even then just getting started and working through the documentation usually gets me up speed pretty quick. Deploying complex multi tier systems efficiently across multiple environments (especially legacy ones!). The system was easy enough for our volunteers to use, I have not heard of any problems with it so far but we will continue using in future projects/events as needed! We were also able work from home which helped us keep everything running smoothly during this time when access across many states has been limited or even closed completely due weather conditions etc - very helpful at these times!

Pros
  • It is simple & straight forward making deployment extremely efficient especially within enterprise level deployments that contain lots of different components each requiring its own setup processes / configs..you only ever touch one thing per release once configured correctly (I love those!)It gives great visibility over whats going down via real time webhook notifications while remaining secureEasy way around firewall
Cons
  • Nothing
