I used an older version of this product after borrowing it from a friend. He got it from the original Kickstarter. I got amazing results and decided to order one for myself. I received what I ordered quickly and it was well packaged with no damage to the packaging. Unfortunately it didn't work when I plugged it in. No light, no sound. I understand that this can sometimes happen and thanks to Revain's excellent customer service I have returned the product for a new one and received it within two days. The exchange worked well, at least I thought so. I made a ribeye kit for the first cook and everything turned out great. When I set it up the next day, I noticed the display flickered for a second. Upon closer inspection, when the wire moved even slightly at the base of the device, it caused the device to flicker. I have not abused the device and actually kept it in the original packaging after the first use. I have returned the replacement for a full refund and would not recommend this product to anyone unless you can find one of the originals. It seems that since Electrolux bought it, Kickstarter isn't the product it used to be. I will buy joules.
