I've owned it for about a month. He is very quiet. I have never seen a quieter window unit. Installation was easier than the unit it replaced. Everything was denser from the start. The previous Frigidaire block had rooms. A little pressurization eliminated what was left very quickly. Because it's very quiet, it doesn't throw the air very far. My small room (12 x 13 feet) has a temperature gradient from one side of the room to the other when I don't have another fan. I wish the fan had more appeal. This device could have been better cooled with more fans. In this room, the constant load on the computer is 400-700W. This makes the room 10-20f hotter than the rest of the house within an hour of balancing with the house. I can keep it at 68 all day with this device. If the fan kept pushing the air to stay on longer, I would freeze. I would turn it off like my last block. The product itself looks well made. Better than the cheaper devices I've used. This air conditioner is smart. It turns off automatically for a period of time when the desired temperature is reached. I don't feel bad leaving it on all night as it won't work on its own for too long. I sleep inches away from the device. It's right over my head, a few inches to the side. It's so quiet I need another fan with white noise to sleep. The remote control is useful. Works perfectly.
