I play in a rock band and wanted to wear gold shoes on stage for a maximum of 4 hours. Even the laces shimmer, and a little red button on each shoe (see photo) controls lots of solid, blinking, flashing, or none at all. These aren't athletic shoes, there's no arch support, but the danger is I stepped off the carpet onto my dry concrete porch and immediately got into the splits, and I'm 70 years old so it was unexpected and dangerous. The problem lies in the sole (see photo). We only walked on carpet, dry grass, and thank goodness our stage had a hardwood floor with carpets, because an hour earlier in our hotel room, I went to our bathroom, which was covered in beautiful, dry stone tiles, only to save myself sturdy towel rail before kissing the stone floor. You can buy a Life Alert necklace first if you plan to run or walk on wet surfaces. I bought them to play rock 'n' roll on stage and a lot of people liked them and I didn't even turn on the light on the soleplate.
