I always install small LED lights on my appliances in my shop. The ones I bought require a mounting bracket and an external 110 volt cable. These special cables have a handy built-in switch. So I have to drill a few 3/16" holes in the base to attach the wires that will eventually connect to the machine's switch. That way I don't have to use the extra plug space in the outlet. Of course you can too just use the connector at the end of this cord. The photo shows an LED light fitted to my old Atlas drill press (circa 1950s) I also have one on my Rikon vertical bandsaw and on my Fox horizontal bandsaw installed. Certainly helps those old eyes see very fine lines!
