Review on ๐Ÿงผ Ecover Automatic Dishwashing Tablets Zero: Powerful Cleaning in 25 Count, 17.6 Ounce Pack by Elizabeth Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a natural, fragrance-free dishwashing detergent that works, use 1/2 tablet

A few years ago I was looking for a product that worked after a necessary reformulation of dishwashing detergents. I've found Cascade Platinum to work great but has a very strong odor to the point that it smells in a storage closet, even in a sealed package. When using the Cascade, there was also a smell in the dishwasher and the dishes themselves, and when drinking from glasses you could taste the washing-up liquid. I hated having Cascade in the house. He can be wrong when it comes to some natural detergents/cleaners. I was very happy that this Ecover Zero works great! I use 1/2 tablet and dishes including glasses come out very clean free of food and detergent residue/odor. I unwrap the pills (a bit painful and not eco-friendly because they are individually wrapped in plastic), cut them in half (slit both sides with a table knife then press down) and reserve 1/2 in a mason jar , so they are ready to use. I stopped washing dishes before loading and rarely have to rinse dishes or cutlery due to leftover food. I really like that this product is odorless and leaves no odor on the dishes. It is also biodegradable/environmentally friendly. I would recommend trying this product at 1/2 tablet to ensure no detergent residue is left on dishes, but I'm sure effectiveness will vary depending on the brand and age of dishwashers. Updated 12/31/15 to include the halving method I posted in the comments to another review. I will also add that I still love this product and will order again. To cut the tablets in half. I do this on the floor as it takes some pressure to press down on the tray. Note: This method works for me - use your own judgment and do so at your own risk when cutting your Ecover tablets. Take the tablet out of the plastic bag and place it on a flat metal plate/tray or other hard surface (which you don't need). possible damage in the process) for dust content. Cut the tablet by using a table knife (or a sharper knife if your table knife is very dull) to make a line on a large flat side of the tablet (saw back and forth along the line until it is 1/16 or 1 /8 is ). "deep), then turn over and make a cut on the opposite side. Then press straight down the line with a table knife or use the end of the tines of a fork and the tablet should break in half (this may require significant pressure depending on the depth of the line. If this is too difficult, cut the line deeper first.) Alternatively, you can continue sawing the line on the second side until the tablet breaks in half. There will most likely be a small amount of sawdust left over , but to use up just put dishwasher detergent in the detergent compartment.. a tablet with a lot of force should work, eg with a metal spatula e and a hammer, I immediately cut a few tablets in half and store them in a converted Bonne Maman jelly jar.
