I had to insert the socket carefully. The three locking pieces on the socket match the hole in the lantern cover, but they are not easy to install/install. Gently push the nest in, eventually it came up. But when you first get it, you'll no doubt have a "hey, this socket doesn't fit" moment. Be patient. You can push it in gently. Nothing will break. Also, no wiring instructions are included, so I suggest you only connect one wire at a time. Align the socket parallel to the other two sockets (indicator, reversing signal). You will see that they all point in the same direction when attached to the taillight cover.2. After you line it up (but before you connect the socket!) you can cut one lead (starting from the leftmost) from the old socket and connect it to a new lead (the leftmost lead) on the new socket. Then move to the right, doing just one line at a time. Required: screwdriver, crimping tool, electrical tape. Operating time: max. 10 minutes.
