Review on housing be quiet! SILENT BASE 802 WINDOW BLACK black, no PSU, EATX by Wiktor Wasilewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

Not at all such emotions I expected from such a coveted purchase. In general, the case is very easy to assemble, effective in cooling, stylish in appearance and has cool options in terms of changing panels (and I checked out the valve hub). On the other hand, there are many seemingly minor flaws that one could turn a blind eye to, if not for a few facts: 1) Be Quiet! positioning themselves as high-end manufacturers, and here there is no attention to a huge number of details. For example, phanteks and fractal design are simply unbeatable in terms of attention to detail, while their products are cheaper (sometimes significantly). 2) There are a lot of bugs that LIKELY need to be fixed, this is the second model of this case (the first one is 801), but they are still there 3) Technical support be quiet! disgusting, to all my indignation they simply said that they would pass my words on to production. They could even symbolically send a tool for racks by mail - a penny question, but how would they rise in the eyes of the consumer. The same situation was when their power supply started to hum (you see, the new video card has a special way of powering) - they simply said, 'buy our new line of power supplies, th you'. After a few months of use, I already closed my eyes to all the minuses, for the USB key I ordered a soft extension cord from the Middle Kingdom, so that the rage subsided. Now, in general, I really enjoy it - stylish, very functional and chic airflow.

Pros
  • - Excellent airflow with perforated panels (The temperature on the video card in comparison with the fractal design meshify c mini dropped by 13+ degrees, well, the previous case was VERY compact and the components were physically cramped there) - Convenient removable side walls with buttons - Wherever holes are needed, it is convenient to lay cables and hook them with ties. In general, the assembly in this case is quite a pleasant experience. - Included are 2 options for the front and top panels: perforated for better cooling and deaf with sound insulation. - Good easy-to-remove dust filters on the bottom and front - On the back wall there is a hub for 6 fans, you can connect both 3-pin and 4. There is a switch on the case for adjusting the operation of the hub: the auto position allows you to adjust the speed of the valves by the motherboard - for this, 1 wire goes from the hub to the motherboard, the other positions are 1 -3 regulate the voltage to all fans, due to this, 3 steps of the speed of rotation of the valves are obtained. The body valves are absolutely silent in position 1, almost silent in position 2 and you can hear the air flow in position 3. - In the case, it is unscrewed, removed and removed almost anything - It is possible to assemble an inverted assembly - the glass will be on the right side of the case, and the mat. the board will be upside down. Why is the question, but you can
Cons
  • - Absolute disrespect for consumers. For such a price, there is not even an elementary cardboard box for all the bolts - they were simply thrown into a hefty box of replaceable panels, not a cloth for glass, the complete set of bolts is simply poor butt. - There is no tool for working with motherboard racks (the adapter is so small for a screwdriver)! I don’t know what the manufacturers intended, but I needed to screw in 2 racks for the micro-atx board, while there is a spare 1 rack in the kit, that is, I need to unscrew at least 1 rack from the atx boards already screwed in for landing. And how to do this without a tool for racks costing a dozen, with pliers? Thanks to fractal design, my instrument turned out to be from the previous body, but how my fifth point burned down at that moment can be legends. - The cable routing holes on the right side are quite close to the motherboard. On my board, the case USB connector is on the right (and not on the bottom like on most adequate boards), the cable from the front panel USB is rather hard, and the key itself is rather bulky, so it’s impossible to physically connect through the cable hole, I had to get one of the plugs for hard drives and run the cable from there. - Budget pure wings fans, instead of silent wings - The glass on the back of the case has a decent gap of about 3mm, there is no seal, most likely because with the inverted assembly, the right panel will go there, but it has no gap - The case is quite heavy, with accessories it becomes quite heavy, while there are no protruding parts for which it could be conveniently moved. That is, if you are a fan of constantly dragging the case from room to room or just moving it a little, this is not a very convenient task. - The front filter is fixed at the top and bottom, and in the center on both sides it bends a little and moves away from the body, therefore dust is generally sucked past the dust collector from there.
