Just got my mug in the mail, washed it, brought it to work and made hot tea. Don't make the mistake I made of thinking that the liquid cools fast enough to be drinkable because the lid has a vent. Be very careful with the first sip. This mug keeps the drink very hot. Hot liquid is likely to cool down in about 3.5 to 4 hours after boiling. I made myself a cup of tea at 7am and when I took my last sip at 10am it was still hot. It really took me so long to drink my tea. Only thing would be nice if the lid prevented spills if tipped over, but that's okay. It's still a pretty amazing mug. Maybe you can get another one for the house.
