Wasn't sure which size to go but the large was PERFECT for our 20lb 6 month old pup. The hood doesn't make sense, but it can add a little extra warmth around the neck (and it's a cute option). The coat is easy to put on and is very well made. It offers just the right amount of warmth and protection from the colder temperatures here in Pennsylvania. Snow gets under the collar (and other areas with outside edges) and snowballs can stick to the inner fleece, but that's a minor issue compared to the quality of this product. I love it and when our dog outgrows this one I'll be ready to buy another. (Maybe I'll just buy another one for a different color and more variety.) Highly recommend!
