We saved $300 by replacing it ourselves. We paid a mechanic to replace the same part 8 months ago and it's already broken. We bought this and the plastic feels firmer than the previous replacement and fits the gear snugly (I had to use a hammer to get it all the way down but it's good). The only reason it wasn't a 10 minute fix is because the mechanic snapped the bolts on the last fix so I had to pull them out and get new ones. The only thing that could improve this would be if it was metal. Note Note on crafting metal.
