Review on 🔒 “Secure Your Fluval FX5 Canister Filter with the Assorted Lock Clamp” by Jessica Martin

These clamps are overpriced and poorly designed. The problem is the plastic on the bottom that snaps into the ring on the filter that holds it to the canister. They break and break often. The manufacturer should have recalled them long ago and replaced them with a much stronger stainless steel part of the same design. The filter is only guaranteed to leak if one is missing. This alone can cause a nightmare flood if your house has hardwood floors, for example. Continuing to make bad design when you know it doesn't work properly reflects that the company is more interested in customer churn than in improving and supporting its products. Needless to say, this is not my first order. I have already replaced six and now need three more. This is totally unacceptable for a filter system that is about 4 years old. I can replace my entire filtration system with another manufacturer's if I still need to replace that part as I have custom hardwood floors and can't afford a major leak when I'm away from home.
