Review on The Door Balancer: Revolutionizing Door Support with No Props, Stops, or Wedges Needed by David Dreher

Disappointing packaging. Suitable for some doors.

First, as some other users have mentioned, the packaging is very cumbersome to remove. Installation is fairly easy (if you haven't already removed the pin from the door hinge, it's best to have someone hold the door for you). HOWEVER, the door I wanted to use rotates 180° and I wanted to keep it open 180° (it would partially close to about 135° opening. Seemed easy enough, but after opening the door fully the first time has been closed the spring flexes so much that when reopened the door will flex 135° back to the open position, I suspect this won't happen with a door that only opens 90° since even a slight bend in the spring would still allow it to hold the door open 90° should be stated more clearly upon purchase to avoid bad reviews ALSO I'm not a fan of any of the spring struts SHOULD apply force to the wooden door or door frame (see other users photos) This will eventually make the wood seem that an extra bend or two on the struts could have avoided this Edit: I contacted the seller through their website and was quite surprised by him Slow reply Sunday) They confirmed that the spring only applies to doors that open a maximum of 110°.
