My vacuum robot is no longer trapped!

I had a dilemma: my Roomba got stuck in the bathroom. If the door wasn't fully open to begin with, it would bang on the door, causing it to partially close, and the robot couldn't figure out how to swing far enough to bypass the door and exit. Now the door is fully open (even if the child leaving the room opened the door just enough to get out) and will remain open even if the vacuum cleaner bumps into it. No more traps and no more battery drain. Although my family is very knowledgeable about…

THE WORST. PACKAGE. JE. OK, but an expensive product.

Okay, we have to deal with the elephant in the room. Anyone who thinks that plastic skin packaging is a good choice for this product should lose their Marketing/Packaging/Logistics/Customer Service/Manufacturing degree. This is simply the worst packaging choice for this product. It is very difficult to remove, sticks to the product and gets caught in the spring mechanism of the product itself. Terrible, terrible choice of packaging. Now the product itself is nothing more than a torsion spring…

Disappointing packaging. Suitable for some doors.

First, as some other users have mentioned, the packaging is very cumbersome to remove. Installation is fairly easy (if you haven't already removed the pin from the door hinge, it's best to have someone hold the door for you). HOWEVER, the door I wanted to use rotates 180° and I wanted to keep it open 180° (it would partially close to about 135° opening. Seemed easy enough, but after opening the door fully the first time has been closed the spring flexes so much that when reopened the door will…

Solid Packaging

After all the comments on the packaging, I was ready to delve into it. Although the problem is solved. I bought three of these and they were all very easy to unpack. Simply grab the center of the nib and pull it out of the packaging. Now they are shrunk only at the extreme ends where the spring rotates 90 degrees. I live in a high basement in New Orleans and my daughter's bedroom door frame is over an inch plum. The door swung back quickly, stopping at 5 degrees on opening. This created a…

But works great. And that's a HUGE BUT!

Feature: 5 stars. The barely noticeable 30-second installation does exactly what it says on the tin. In that regard, this is an excellent product. Price: 2 stars. It's spring. No more and no less. Material costs less than a cent. Although the spring bending machines are designed for specific purposes, they are not expensive and are easy to dampen. It must be a $2.99 product. Packaging: -5 stars. To be honest, I found all the complaints about the packaging to be nonsense. How could it be so bad?
