Review on The Door Balancer: Revolutionizing Door Support with No Props, Stops, or Wedges Needed by Donnie Boss

Solid Packaging

After all the comments on the packaging, I was ready to delve into it. Although the problem is solved. I bought three of these and they were all very easy to unpack. Simply grab the center of the nib and pull it out of the packaging. Now they are shrunk only at the extreme ends where the spring rotates 90 degrees. I live in a high basement in New Orleans and my daughter's bedroom door frame is over an inch plum. The door swung back quickly, stopping at 5 degrees on opening. This created a problem with AC and was just generally impractical. This product is the only one of its kind that I could find. Everything else seems designed to add a closing door. Although the price seems a bit high for what it is, I find it good value for money compared to alternatives. I saw an improvement on one of these springs, but ended up installing three due to the weight of the solid core door and the door frame issue. With the door latch centered on the strike plate, install the spring on the center hinge. If the latch on the strike plate is low install the spring on the bottom hinge, if the latch is high on the top hinge.
