I have just installed this two stage filtration system. That works great. I immediately noticed the difference. We have city water and it's pretty heavily chlorinated. We had just built a house and I didn't think about it until my daughter started complaining that she was itchy every time she showered. The chlorinated water just dried out her skin. I went down the rabbit hole of the house filter. Upon further research, I found that inhaling the voices created by the hot water vapor is not good for you at all. I was looking for bigger and more expensive 10 year old filter systems but it was out of my budget and to be honest they didn't get the best reviews. Everywhere I looked, ispring was always recommended. I thought I'd give them a chance. For less than $300 and about $100 for pipes and fittings I have a quality H20! My wife said she didn't need to moisturize her skin after a shower and her hair was softer. My daughter no longer itch and I am convinced of the quality of our drinking water. These filters should last about a year before changing. The only issue I've noticed from other buyers is that the openings on the filter mount aren't tapered, so any fittings inserted into them won't seal well. Lots of teflon tape and some pipe glue ensure a tight fit. My final comment for those looking for whole house water filters. DO THAT. Never assume that the water entering your home is safe and clean. This water has many chances of being contaminated before it reaches your faucet. Even if you use city water, the chemicals they use to "clean" your water are dangerous to your health. And even more for your pets and children.
