Review on High Performance BB-UN26 Square Taper Bottom Bracket 68123/127 / 110mm (Black, 1 Piece) by Mike Devine

Heavy, functional and very well made. Definitely not as high quality as the sealed cartridge Shimano UN bottom brackets they are replicas of. Will be sent disassembled in a bag. Unfortunately, one of the cups got stuck at an angle on the BB. I almost sent it back but preferred to put the BB in a vise and knock it out with a steel punch and hammer. It took a few more minutes to sort it out. Not what I would call the best quality control. Screws into the BB shell smoothly and correctly. Smoother bearing than the Shimano UN51 previously used on the bike, but this bearing has been in use for about 30,000 miles and was originally on the 1994 bike. I used some anti-seize when installing the cups. They are steel and will certainly seize up over time.
