Review on Sailor Jentle Ink Bottle Yuki Akari by Dawn Fischer

My Favorite Light Blue

I have tried various cyan fountain pen inks but none seem to be light enough. Until I was looking for blue ink and encountered Yuki-Akari. After using this ink for a few months I can easily say that this is my favorite light blue ink. I think the ink works best in my Sailor Pro Gear Slim with a medium nib, it's thick enough to show the color and has some tint but not too light. The Sailor Fine nib seems too light to me, but still legible. What I noticed was the smell of the ink. I love the smell of this ink in my pen, whenever I open the pen I can smell it on my tip which may or may not be uncomfortable if you don't like smelly ink. They dry relatively quickly on HP 32 lb printer paper. . The ink stays wet for a long time on the pen, so I don't have to worry about any start-up problems. In fact, I haven't had a rough start in the time I've been using this ink. Ink is not coming out of the pen slots on my medium-fine Sailor pen. I've heard that these inks are practically not water resistant, so if water gets on the paper the ink will practically wash off. . This feature has the advantage of being extremely easy to clean off a fountain pen. There is a piece of plastic in the bottle to help you fill the pen if you have a converter cartridge or a filling plunger. 10/10 will buy again, my favorite light blue ink, it has many shades that add a bit of finesse when I use it.
