Review on 32" TV Sony KDL-32EX700 LED by Micha Pirecki ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

In general, the TV, of course, is very nice, and for 30,000 that is adequate for it, it would become the most popular in sales. Again, in view of the availability of Wi-Fi. And from the picture, I don’t know, if people are now so “sighted” that they can easily feel the difference between the contrast of 1:30000 in conventional LCDs and 1:100000 in LED models, then we can only rejoice :) Personally, I'm at the Sony booth, where five LCDs were located I did not notice any difference in FullHD picture between this model and the previous ones in the Bravia line, moreover, the picture on the 40W5500 looked much more pleasant. Summarizing, I’ll say, as Denis already spoke here, overpaying 10,000 or even all 20,000 for Wi-Fi and a 2 cm gain in thickness is, to put it mildly, not reasonable. In a large room, it is better to buy a 40" diagonal for the same money. For example, Sony KDL-40EX400, even 6-7 thousand will be left to buy a Blu-Ray player. For example, this model differs from the same Sony KDL-32EX400 LED, Wi-Fi, "-" 2 cm, a slightly different (more "expensive") menu, and the difference in price is exactly 2 times! 20220 EX400 vs 40000 EX700, wouldn't it make more sense to buy 2? :)

Pros
  • LED with all the ensuing advantages, Wi-Fi. otherwise, nothing out of the ordinary compared to similar models in the W or NX series, except for the space price.
Cons
  • A TV with LED backlighting, therefore, should be thin, but in fact its thinness is only at the edges, in the central part it is only 2 (!), that's exactly two centimeters thinner than a TV with conventional backlighting. What else was disappointing for such and such a price (besides the lack of gold bolts in the assembly, apparently in Hong Kong all the gold bolts were stolen - I'm being ironic) and so, the thick frame around the matrix disappointed. It is far from a secret that the thinner the frame, the screen itself visually seems larger, There are no new functions that, again, differ from the W series, only a set of ECO functions - in my opinion this is just a marketing campaign, there is little sense from it, one name (probably GreeenPeace "ran over").
