Does not use the standard Kidde swivel mount, you must use the included
This unit activates the battery by twisting it into the included base. The base is not a standard, not a standard for Kidde. So if you have Kidde "rotating" mounts at home, you'll have to rip one out and insert it before you can turn it on. I'm sending this back as some of the mounts don't fall off easily on mine.
