1 month old alarm sounds when there is no smoke or even steam. While reading the messages on his computer, he fainted twice within 10 minutes for no reason. Garbage.

After the first week the fire alarm went off randomly in the middle of the night. After I pushed the button, it stopped. An hour later it went off again, twice. Of course my evening was ruined. I removed the hole. I will have to send it back as something is obviously wrong. I bought a double pack. Aggravating!

I swapped out a similar "10 year old" alarm clock for a seven year old. This one started randomly turning off and screaming "fire" for no apparent reason. 2:00 p.m., 6:00 a.m. and even on the street this morning. There is no fire anywhere. I'm shocked that my Revain order doesn't have a 'Return and Replace' button. I think I'll contact Kidde directly.

This smoke detector worked fine for the first few months, but then as the temperature started to rise it kept going off with false alarms. There is no smoke in the house and no gas leak of any kind (none of the other nearby alarms went off, only this one). It's quite annoying, especially when it shuts down in the middle of the night for no reason.

This unit activates the battery by twisting it into the included base. The base is not a standard, not a standard for Kidde. So if you have Kidde "rotating" mounts at home, you'll have to rip one out and insert it before you can turn it on. I'm sending this back as some of the mounts don't fall off easily on mine.

I bought this unit because I installed the same model in July 2013. It was supposed to last ten years, but who knows how long it was stored. The block mounting plate has changed, it now has a larger mounting plate, but the hole/plate arrangement remains the same. So I could easily use the old "hole/plate" to mount this new device. It was very pleasant to hear it click into place and hear the installation beep.

This product was purchased on 03/30/2021 and installed on 03/31/2021. On April 13, 2021 at around 10:50 p.m. the fire alarm went off without reason. I took the unit off the cradle to try to "silence" the alarm for at least 10 minutes as instructed, but every time I did that the alarm went off again. I also tried taking it outside, outdoors, but then I started bothering the neighbors. I ended up having to break the tab and permanently disable the alarm with a flathead screwdriver. I want my…
