Replaces the old model
I bought this unit because I installed the same model in July 2013. It was supposed to last ten years, but who knows how long it was stored. The block mounting plate has changed, it now has a larger mounting plate, but the hole/plate arrangement remains the same. So I could easily use the old "hole/plate" to mount this new device. It was very pleasant to hear it click into place and hear the installation beep.
