Very important. Helps me eat healthier. Much less food is wasted.

This is my first vacuum sealer and I chose it because the FoodSaver brand had bad reviews. Many other cars seemed like junk and encouraged people to make fake reviews. I really love this fresco sealer because it saves me a lot of money and helps me eat healthier. In combination with the Rubbermaid FreshWorks storage bins, I throw away a lot less than I used to. My freezer is fine now. You don't have all those disparate food packages that burn up quickly in the freezer, and it's also aesthetically pleasing and appetizing to open up the fridge or freezer and have pre-packaged portion packs ready. These conveniences are what stop my psychological will to eat out (fast food) instead of cooking. I go to the grocery store and have no doubts about my purchases because I know I can keep them fresh. Usually, a batch of fresh green beans quickly disappears in the fridge before I can use it. Now they don't. This is an example. Next to it is a picture of cooked rice that I plan to freeze if not going to use within a day. I highly recommend getting some reusable, pint-sized Fresco bags (as pictured, available here at Revain). It's a little pricey at $20, but I think they're worth it. I haven't tried packs from other brands yet. The only thing I have is that it can sometimes peel off when sealing when the food bag isn't flush with the sealant or when it detects an improper seal (even though it looks like all the air has escaped from the bag ). If you get into trouble, you can put your hand under the bag while it's being sealed, make sure you don't leave too much room in the bag (push it all the way in) and make sure you remotely use the wet setting for everything use wet. While you can sometimes get a very tight seal with dry, it's inconsistent.
