Review on GE Retail Parts GERAN GXULQK Filter System by Steven Notsinneh

Bought this filter in April 2017. A block is leaking from a seam in the water manifold, which on closer inspection is a very poor quality joint where the upper and lower manifolds connect. It appears that the entire seam looks weak and may be leaking in many places. That this is not an isolated case can also be inferred from other reviews. I am not sure why GE supplies such an important element from a cheap supplier as it is the part where filters are attached and water is retained. It would be possible to cut corners on non-aqueous parts and this device would be of better quality. GE claims to have a 1 year warranty on this unit, but not through Revain! A GE Customer Service Representative informed me that this product requires service upon purchase and Revain IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED GE DEALER. So my guess is that I'll be buying a replacement part, which by design can also leak, and I have no guarantees. Overall pretty good customer service?
