Great upgrade of old halogen bulbs

I've decided not to write a review - over 800 already, really need another one. I'm continuing because I'm so impressed with these LED light bulbs that I just couldn't resist putting my two cents in! I have under cabinet lighting in 4 areas of my kitchen, 3 of which are definitely 'work areas' so good lighting is vital to me. The old halogen lamps gave enough light but generated a lot of heat. So much so that during the summer months here in North Carolina I felt like they would defeat the purpose of my air conditioner, yes they would generate so much heat! I got so far that I didn't use this lighting at all, but only ceiling spotlights (all LED, by the way) and only did the preparatory work on my island. It was ok at first but now my husband is retired and we cook together and I also teach my granddaughter how to cook so we need more space to cook. This is how my search for LED lighting began. I found them, read many reviews and decided to buy 1 pack and see what I think. Well I was shocked. Like lighting much better than halogen. LED lamps give a pleasant white light, while halogen lamps have a yellowish tint. Picture 1 shows a coffee pot with LED, while the second picture shows only halogen. I hope you can see the difference because it's MUCH prettier/brighter and gets rid of that ugly yellow cast. And most importantly: THEY DO NOT GENERATE HEAT! I ordered more to replace all my light bulbs. I use them daily (several times a day) and don't worry about heating or energy bills. I can't comment on durability as I haven't had it for so long. I find that while they are dimmable, I don't use that feature. My under cabinet lights don't have dimmer switches, instead they have a rocker switch (I think you would say low/high) on each fixture. In "minimum" mode, the bulbs flicker slightly, and in "maximum" mode, they work normally. Since I don't use them as a night light and the cost of LEDs is low, I like to keep them on high settings. I'm only posting this for those who have the same device as me. Included photos of my lights and switches. I'm so glad I did and wish I had done it sooner! If you're about to replace yours, jump in and buy some of these, you won't be disappointed. Sincerely and successful cooking (or something else); -0
