The product is light to thin, but for some this may be a feature. The tripod design is unique to this holder and may not be easy with other devices that use a tripod. The main holder attaches via a ball with a plastic clip. I'm a strong person and often couldn't squeeze hard enough to keep my iPad from slipping. Use it to play music so that's bad. The ipad clamp itself then attaches to the ball head with 4 tiny lugs that seem to snap into slots.It shifts fairly easily and I've accidentally done it twice.Too late to be back but I can don't use it and don't trust it.
