Review on Oben TT-100 Table Top Tripod: Compact and Stable Solution for Perfect Shots by Kevin Ayala

Love it - sturdy and low!

I've had several mini tripods, but none came close to "pro-level". This is by far the best I've had and the included ball head is very good too. Tripod Legs: The wide leg spacing is nice because it keeps the tripod head fairly low (I think the ball head is about 4 inches off the ground when the legs are spread) and maintains a good center of gravity that doesn't tip over. The splaying of the legs also means you can't get them in the frame if you're using an ultra-wide lens (I had this issue a while back when using my iPhone on a different tabletop tripod). Ball head: The head is pulled tight. I was able to get it to slip when I tried (I had my Canon 60D attached and applied some extra pressure) but for normal use cases this thing seems to stay in place well. I mostly use the top with my iPhone (in conjunction with the MeFoto Sidekick 360 (which is the MOST adapter btw!)), and the top easily handles the weight of telephoto or zoom, you might have issues with the bullet slipping or the Tripod have tipping due to lens weight but for the most part I think you will be very happy with this small tripod to use the top with your phone. Check out MeFoto Sidekick 360. I picked it up the other day and it's by far the best I've had to mount your iPhone in. You may need to buy one from B&H if Revain doesn't already have one.

Pros
  • Weight: 8 ounces | Includes mini ball head
Cons
  • Vulgarity
