Review on Sennheiser PC 8 2 Cancelling Microphone by Edyta Szczepaska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I removed it from its packaging, plugged it in, and automatically determined that in Windows and Linux, you don't even need to configure the microphone. Communication in Skype and games is crystal clear and free of any background noise (since USB is a built-in module there and everything is configured as it should). Since I have been using these for more than three years, everything is great (yes, they don't make a microphone jack in laptops anymore, either combined or only for audio, so only USB), I used to use a bluetooth headset for a laptop, but then I discovered that bluetooth interferes with wi-fi and slows down Internet speeds. Since then, I have switched to using a USB headset instead. After evaluating it against the Sennheiser PC 36 CALL CONTROL, which has a slightly larger range and a wire that is one meter longer, I came to the conclusion that these are the best option. Now I have two of them. They function normally when connected to a mouse and keyboard via USB-HUB.

Pros
  • Lightweight, will not cause your head to wobble, will not cause your ears to sweat, and will not require you to dance with a tambourine in order to set up a microphone (because USB)
Cons
  • Carrying a laptop about in a bag could be inconvenient at times, but there is little that can be done about it.
