Review on πŸ” Compact HTi80P IR Thermal Imager: High-Resolution Infrared Camera with Temperature Tracking, Wide Measurement Range & Adjustable Emissivity by Wesley Sharp

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor accuracy, temperature readings down to 15Β°F at low temp or 10Β°F at high temp.

I like that it's compact, (relatively) cheap and turns on quickly. However, the measurement accuracy was miserable. When first turned on, it will show about 10-15F below actual temperature. If left longer, the temperature will rise about 10F. I think this would be fine for applications where absolute temperature doesn't matter, e.g. It's useful for locating insulation gaps in houses or HVAC systems, for example, but it's useless if you really need to know what the temperature is. If left for a while, the center always appears brighter than the periphery; It is enough just to press the calibration button, but this does not help the readings.
