We bought our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder in April and didn't need to use the air conditioning. As soon as it was warm enough to turn on the AC, we pushed the button and the fan literally roared. The noise is so loud and the vibration so strong that you not only hear it, you can feel it through the brake pedal. Did some old internet research and found this to be a common problem for scouts with about 40,000 miles on them. Yes. We had 41,000 miles and it happened. Bought this fan from Revain after asking the dealer how much it would cost to replace it. I'm much happier with a less than $200 fix and my time compared to the dealer's $1100 offer. A friend helped me since I'm a musician and not a mechanic. It took us about 90 minutes to swap and everything works great. 10,000 miles and a hot summer later with lots of air conditioning use and it runs like new. The design of the fan is different from the original fan. Example: A gasket is missing and the wiring is slightly different. Although it fits perfectly and works great. Thank God there is an alternative to the car dealership.
