UPDATE: Didn't even last a year. After about 8 months the outer layer of material began to crack and peel, creating a mess and allowing moisture to seep under the coating. This product is good for keeping your car clean for a few days here and there, but it doesn't stand up to the constant NYC outdoor conditions. FIRST CHECK: Water enters and does not come out. When I remove the lid, moisture often remains on the machine, either from condensation or water seeping through the lid, or both. Better than leaving the car open, but definitely not 100% waterproof. After about 6 months of use, during a fairly normal windy night in Queens, NY, both tie-down straps failed and the cover flew off the machine. One strap broke out of the case along the seam, and on the other, the plastic clasp broke in half. I won't buy a second one. Not strong enough to hold out.
