Review on 27" Apple iMac All-in-One (Retina 5K, Mid 2017) MNE92RU/A, 5120x2880, Intel Core i5 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, AMD Radeon Pro 570, MacOS, Silver by Stanislaw Koluch ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am not disappointed, the quality is satisfying.

Bought by an office to replace the 2022 model for web development. What do I have to say: Significantly better screen (although it's hard to believe) The disk works faster. Sketch loves huge caches and the threshold when the computer starts to be stupid as hell and requires a reboot, here it is a little further compared to the 2022 model. The Fusion Drive is a nightmare and the SSD versions are out of stock. In the 2TB fusion, the size of the SSD is larger, but the 40k surcharge for this somehow does not inspire. In corporate use, this is a dead end. Plug in SSD = void warranty. We'll put it in a year if the admin wants to take responsibility for such equipment, but for now we'll try to solve the problem by installing memory. In general, I am very satisfied. Against the backdrop of new prices for apple laptops (something more or less suitable for work costs under 200 + monitor), the purchase is very good. Buy before it's sold out. Apple clearly wants to do the same trick with monoblocks as with laptops: they will leave the inadequately expensive imac pro, and the usual imac 27 will be abolished - there will only be a 21.5 "model with a stripped-down filling without an SSD and the possibility of expanding the RAM.

Pros
  • Screen Basic version price Noiselessness Significant progress in screen quality and speed compared to the 2022 model
Cons
  • HDD in 2022 in a $ 2022 computer - how is it in general? Lack of versions with SSD in 2022 Castrated keyboard included
