Came without a screw holding the battery cover. It's loud and heavy. I'm glad I don't try to use it to do a lot of hair. I've actually managed to twist fringes on scarves and other fiber art projects. But it does its job and I only need to turn it in one direction. I can glue the battery cover on and the lack of a screw actually makes life easier as you are forced to take the batteries out every time. I don't like keeping batteries in items I don't use regularly. Don't be surprised if children use them, they complain that they are noisy. I don't want something that loud to be near my ears.
