Okay guys have nipples too. The front (anything behind the skin) is a very stiff tissue - I had to move it away from the nipples to keep them from digging in (hard). But they are also very strong, the clasps work and hold up well. The elastic is only under the skin on the back straps and seems to work well. I bet they'd hold up just as well with a reasonably spaced tool belt as they would with my carpenter's jeans with a square, large leather strap and a razor in them. An added plus: strapless braces = much more comfort for those of us without hindquarters. to support the weight of our pants without tightening the straps like a python killing its prey! If plumbers wore them, they wouldn't need longer shirts!
